Here, we are sitting near the tombs at Nawamis, surrounded by Bedouin women who have
brought out their jewelry and other handmade items to sell. Most of the things for sale
are very inexpensive and make great gifts for folks back home. This is one of the only ways
the Bedouin women can make money for themselves, so I always like to try and buy a little
something from as many as possible.
