Naqb Shee
Without a doubt, the most thrilling portion of our camel trek is scaling (dismounted from our camels) the pass called Naqb Shee. Naqb (pass in Arabic) Shee is a seemingly sheer canyon wall that, no matter how many times I've been up it, always amazes me. The pictures that follow show the pass from a distance, then with camels at progressive stages on the ascent.

Naqb Shee, just a little closer, still with no hint as to how it can be overcome.

Naqb Shee from above, with the group of camels being led up from the base.

The camels plod, one deliberate step after another, slowly making their way up Naqb Shee on the 15-switchback path that camels have trod for thousands of years.

Some of the Bedouin don't like taking Naqb Shee because they've seen camels slip and fall here. This is truly one of the most incredible parts of our trek.

This picture shows me and Saleh topping out Naqb Shee. This most adventurous portion of our camel trek always leaves a great memory in folks' minds.
