Inscription Rock at Maktoub. Nabataean writing which is similar to Hebrew, possibly as old
as 3,500 years. Most scholars agree that the writings are, in fact, as simple as "Joe was
here, he passes in peace", etc, but the history is incredible in this whole area. Nearly a
half dozen rocks bear inscriptions in Greek, Arabic and Nabataean.
