Inscription Rock at Maktoub. This Greek writing is just one language left by ancient
peoples passing along this ancient route. Most scholars agree that the writings are, in
fact, as simple as "Joe was here, he passes in peace", etc, but the history is incredible
in this whole area. Nearly a half dozen rocks bear inscriptions in Greek, Arabic and
Nabataean.
