In this shot, members of our group ride past a Bedouin woman, with an acacia tree (see-yel-la in Arabic) and some shrubs in the background. The acacia is a favorite food for the camels, its branches eaten, thorns and all. The shrub in this picture, known locally as ra-te-me, is not often eaten by camels, but more by sheep, goats and even donkeys.
